That sucks. First and foremost, hope for his health, but are we going to be injury cursed again this year?

Were we cursed when Grant, Barnett, Finley and several others were out for the year last year? Collins is great, but Burnett is filling in beautifully.

Beautifully might be a stretch. He does have a knack for the ball, but also gets caught peaking in the backfield. Safety play is the biggest concern for the defense at this point. Anytime you lose a player the caliber of Collins, the defense will be different. Shifting Burnett over may be the best replacement for Collins, but replacing Burnett with Peprah is a definite downgrade. Fortunately for the Packers, if we can get solid play out of the two young guys it will only help in the future if Collins is not the same player.
As far as being cursed with injuries, I can't argue that winning the Super Bowl while missing those players was a bad thing, but we did almost miss the playoffs. If Tampa holds the lead or DeSean Jackson doesn't return that punt vs. the Giants, we are singing an entirely different toon. Hopefully this is the biggest loss that we sustain this year.
