Not better than I thought...If you've watched the games he's started he was in foul trouble in each one and his minutes were minimal. He's gone multiple games without even playing. You originally said he was going to be a probable first rounder. That didn't happen. His 5.6 points per game are actually more that I thought, I will admit that. When and if Bogut ever gets healthy again we won't be seeing Leuer anymore. Do the draft over and he'd easily be a 1st round pick? What is your reasoning? He's averaging 13 minutes a game on a terrible NBA team. If he we worth anything those numbers would be much better. So actually I was right. He should have been a first rounder, and was a steal at 40. Redraft now and he would have been easily selected in the first round. You'll see him almost always listed in the grantland rookie rankings. www.grantland.com/story/_/id/7498199/nba-rookie-rankings-iii-including-kyrie-irving-ricky-rubio-moreThere he was 4th More recently he is still listed in the top 15 or so. So yes, he would be a first round pick. No idea why Skiles doesn't give him more run. One of the few consistent scorers on the Bucks and has played great when given minutes. For example the last two games, in which he has actually been given solid time, he has scored 14 in 20 minutes on 7/11 shooting and 10 in 20 minutes on 5/11 shooting. Here's what ESPN said about him: "Many of the game's greatest players barely went to school or never went at all. Yet, it's certainly true that a player who spends four years with a good coach can come into the league fully prepared to help his team on both ends of the floor. Leuer, who went to Wisconsin, is exactly that kind of guy. It's not that his skill set is so special, or that his physical gifts are overwhelming. Rather, it's his entire package. He's where he's supposed to be on almost every possession and he's talented enough to then finish off the play. He's also poised with the ball, a big reason Milwaukee's offense is best when he's on the floor. Leuer ranks in the top 20 among all power forwards in assist rate, fifth among all rooks in lowest turnover rate and first in his class in true shooting percentage. Wisconsin is known for playing amazing half-court man-to-man defense, but it's Leuer's maturity on offense that's helping him be one of the top second-round picks of the draft." He is also 11th in their Rookie rankings currently.

Have you watch him play this year? All those random rankings can be skewed by when he played. Was is a late game blow out? I'm going by the "eye test". I've watched every Bucks game and he doesn't pass the "eye test".

I was at the Minnesota game where he fueled the victory and had like 18 points. You have a terrible "eye" if he doesn't pass your eye test. He just does everything right. Great shooter, passer, and awareness. Good handle and a good rebounder. Loved this play:

Also put the highlights of the 3 fouls Leuer looking pitiful trying to guard Howard or the early fourth he picked up right away in the 3rd. You can't pick one play and decide that he is great. Your terrible eye picks one play and a few random rankings and decides that he's the next perennial all star. 18 points in the Minnesota game or 14. I know if I were at the favorite player's best NBA game I'd sure remember how many points he had.
Now I never said he was terrible but he's nothing to write home about yet.
Loved this play:

Would he be as good if he went to Marquette?

Would he be as good if he went to Marquette? Probably not, Crean would have irreparably ruined him his freshman year. He also would have spent 99% of his time under the basket playing center for Marquette. But, he could have sexually assaulted someone and had it covered up by the university.

Now I can agree with that!
But I gotta give a little respect to the job BUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ has done this year.

When did I ever say he would be an allstar? Or that he is a great player? Or that that play says he is great? I've always argued that he can play in the NBA and be a good player. I stand by that. You can rip on "random rankings" all you want. But they are done by people who know more about the NBA game than you or I. Also yes, Buzz has done a very good job this year. It's a shame that half his good players should have been kicked off the team, though.
